If he is being a stand up guy and admitting fault then his company would owe for the vehicle damages and loss of use (car rental)

If your Astro can be repaired his company will owe for the repairs (using aftermarket or used parts). they will also owe for a rental car while the Astro is in the shop.

If the damages exceed 70% of the value of the Astro the other company will "total out" the van and owe you the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the van. They will determine the value of the van just prior to the accident based on age, mileage, condition and equipment.

They would still owe you a rental car but only long enough for them to make a reasonable settlement offer to you. If they tel you that the Astro is a total loss you should immediately start doing your own research into the value of the vehicle.

Good Luck

The rental most likely not. What kind of condition was the van in prior to the accident? It's possible the insurance company (If they do repair it) may list the van as being totaled which will greatly reduce the resale value on the van which BTW is already very low. However if do want the damage repaired his insurance should pay for it. I would also inform your insurance company in the event that his insurance company refuses. Then the two bulls can fight it out.

Sorry to hear that. Check with the carpark management if cameras are installed. If yes, make a police report and they could ask to view the footage if anything was recorded and they will investigate. If no, there's nothing could be done unless some good samaritan comes forward to inform you or the carpark management.

If you traded insurance info, his insurance company should pay for it as long as it was HIS fault. Good Luck!

if he damage doesn't exceed your deductible, then would it be worth paying for it? do you have a witness, or a police report? his insurance, depending on the circumstances, will probably put up a fight about it, but as for paying for a rental, etc, that's something your insurance will have to fight about.

we need a little more info.

sure they will, and also will include the car rental . You dont have to have it repaired; you can take the cash, but if you do , you may not get the car rental. If you tell them your'e not going to have it repaired they dont owe you rental.

i own a shop, and hopefully you had a police report made out on it before you left the parking lot other wise they may not pay to have it fixed, because they can say it happened somewhere else, with out a good police report on it,good luck, hope this helps.
