I have to present a slideshow at a repose on thursday. I know how to make it and all, but i need to present it. I'm going to be able to get a hold of a projector. I am either going to burn the presentation to a dvd and hook a dvd player up to the projector, or hook my laptop up to it. Will either work, will i need any adapters if i have a powerbook G4? Also, what do i do for sound?

The best thing to do is run your presentation directly from the hard drive on your laptop rather than a DVD drive or a DVD player. Often times delays in spinning the disk create glitches during your presentation, particularly if you are running some sort of media such as a video or audio.

Your laptop will work fine (I give presentations weekly from my laptop with a portable LCD projector) and if you need audio you can just plug external computer speakers into your computer through your headphone jack. Depending on the size of your group, that is an easy fix. If you have a large group, often times you can plug into an existing audio system provided at the location; once again into the headphone jack on your laptop.
