is this an inherited disease??? curious because I have a family member with these symptoms,

Research this question, but I want hear from someone who really knows

Yes.

In my family it can be traced through at least three generations.

Not to pry, but are you feeling any symptoms of elation or depression?

It can. The closer the family member, the more likely. When My son was diagnosed, I discussed the subject with his Dr. and then went over family history with my maternal Aunt (She is an RN) through my maternal line there is at least one direct antecedent who exhibited signs and symptoms and several indirect antecedents.

Yes, although scientists are are skeptical as to which genes it's in, as it seems to be caused by a gene-environment relationship, which can run very complex.
