Yes, postpartum hair loss is very common, but not permanent. It usually lasts 3 to 6 months after giving birth. Women usually do not shed hair during the time they are pregnant because of the different hormone levels in their bodies. So after having the baby you lose all the hair you would have lost over the past 9 months. No need to worry, I don't know any women who didn't lose hair after being pregnant.

Yes, Severe hair problems may cause anguish.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. (Although some just want to pull it out themselves during 3:00 feedings!) Biotin will help to stimulate new hair growth more quickly. It helps your body process proteins more efficiently.

It happened to me too and I freaked out, but it only lasted for a month or so, and then it was back 2 normal. Don't worry.

O YA however my obgyn told me to continue taking my prenatel vitamins and that helped the hair loss....

My god girl i had the same problem and mine was pretty bad!! yes it is normal and what helps it is to take prenatal vitamins and eat healthy oh and drink milk!! good luck. :)
