If you, as a Muslim, were employeed as an archaelogist and you unearthed evidence that the Q'uran was "made up" from fables, or that Muhammad (pbuh) was hospitalized because of madness or that Mohammad (pbuh) had written a confession that he had made it all up. if you saw that it, nomatter what it was, was a very important archaelogical find, yet would really, really hurt the Islamic religion, would you hide it?

I already know that you believe that no such evidence exists, but I'm talking about ethics. You know.... What if?

It's an ethical question.

If YOU KNEW that it was conclusive evidence against the claims of Islam, and that it would definitely cause many, many to disbelieve.??

first of all Islam has been here for more than 1400 years now,if it was a fable or made up religion wouldn't some one have proven it in the past.second ,if you've read the Koran and studied it you would see that it is impossible ,because it's basically a miracle from God .the pagans[quriesh] said the same thing about the Koran, God challenged them.they couldn't prove that it was a fake ,and it's known through history they were very smart people.plus prophet Mohammad [pbuh] was illiterate ,so how can a person that couldn't read or write make up a religion that has more than a billion followers.and the Koran is so intense, it has SO much science in it that at that time it wasn't discovered, for instance, like that the earth was round, and how a baby forms inside the womb and other great discoveries that weren't discovered till years after Islam.

the same argument from 1400 years ago till know and still no proof.Read the Koran and judge for yourself if it was made up or not,God gave us all brains so we can make our own judgments.

I would feel compelled to. It is a matter of ethics. If you or some archaeologist have found this information it must be made public. Look at the young men that are dying for a cause that may not be true. Some do it out of fear, but never less you must take precaution and precede on trusting the right people in order to bring this forward.

You have found favour with God and He wont's you to let the world know the truth. So many people are dying and suffering, why? Because of lies that satan has conjured
in order for all young Muslim men to meet him in HELL everlasting. Pray over this, ask for guidance's.

If this is not relayed to the world look at how many more people are going to die! This pleases the evil one, satan!!

Hey, I've already answered this question.

My answer is still the same.

Here is what I think:

If you saw that, then
#1 you should stop being a Muslim yourself
#2 you should publicize it
#3 You continue your search for "the truth" whether or not it includes a god in it.

The only reason you wouldn't do this would be if you thought that people did good things because of their belief in God, and to take it away would do more bad than good.

I personally think that Islam does more good than bad, but that's partly because I believe that God exists.

Yes, I'm Muslim.

As for "tuberoot,"

I'm examining his evidence, and trying to determine whether or not the Qur'an is really God's word.

I'll get back to it, and examine it more thoroughly. So far, I still believe that the Qu'ran is God's word.

I agree with Paladin's point of view.

The mere claim of that demented so-called prophet, that 72 virgins await the fanatics in heaven, is undeniable evidence of Islam being a hoax. You need not dig up anything else to prove the nonsense taught by the Quran

I am a Muslim. If Christianity is about love, Islam is about truth. If in any way you could prove your statement, than be it. Just publish it to the public. Let the truth be known.

That would depend upon the Muslim's highest allegiance, whether it be to the truth or to the feeling of loyalty, security, comfort, belonging, and purpose that his religion brings to him. I would hope that every person faced with this dilemma would agree with husam (above) and Khairil (below) and choose the truth.

The evidence right now is that Islam is dysfunctional. It is not working. It is incompatible with progress.
Unless it is fixed, it will only become even more so.
This isn't a secret, however.
