Search vets in your area using google.com or yellow pages on the net. I live in Orange County, CA, and it was very difficult for me to find a vet that would do ear cropping. Some will do it, and some will not; you just need to find their phone number and call them to ask if they do the procedure or not. I had a American Pitbull Terrier, and I took him to a vet that charged me $250 for the ear crop, but was not really what I expected. I bought another 2 APBT's five months ago, but this time I compared prices with over 5 vets that did ear cropping. One vet would do it for $600 each pup, but I finally found one that would do it for $280 (I went for that one).
Plus, depending on your pup's weight and age, its how the vet will figure out how much he will charge for the surgery. If it sounds reasonable, then do it. But remember that the pup must be younger than 4 months of age. Also ask the vet assistants about the ear taping after the surgery, as well as medication.

Well aren't you an evil SOB
Why don't you really go the extra mile in saving a buck and trauma by giving the dog to a loving nurturing family that doesn't want to mutilate the poor baby
I hate you and I don't even know you.

I really would not reccomend that you do that...because first of all it is VERY painful for the dog. They do not numb the area or put the animal under so they feel no pain....The vet or who ever does this just takes out his sisscors and cuts, and the dog ends up traumatized by the whole situation...you would have to watch it be done to understand why I don't like ears to be cropped.

Don't get your dogs ears cropped. It is a very painful procedure that is only for cosmetic reasons. You are wanting your dogs ears chopped off simply because YOU think it looks better that way. It's cruel.

I'm worried about the words "ears cropped" and "cheaper" in the same sentence.
