He lives with his mother, has a paper route, and an old car that is noisy!! Every morning, he wakes us up slamming the car door, starting the car....wait, it doesn't start right away...so....we listen to the engine try to start....etc.
We've talked to him, several times, we have asked him to park on the street, not in driveway next to our bedroom! but he forgets and ...we just give up. * what would you do?

this man also collects junk.....so he has 3 old cars, and a van, only a few run. I don't know how he can afford the tabs, being he only has a paper route job.
My DH tries to help him out, ...but he is quiet hopeless, just hope our house sells.:P

Well, he might not be able to afford to get his car tuned up if he only has a paper route for a job...those don't pay much. If he is a little mentally slow I would try talking to his parents. Maybe they could help him with a tune-up or try talking to him about where to park his car. My husband and I used to live in an apartment and our upstairs neighbors had 5 kids that would constantly run through their apartment and the outer hallway. Even complaints from us and their, and our surrounding neighbors to the apartment manager did no good. We ended up moving because we were getting our sleep disturbed too much.

I do not have a neighbor that wakes me up at 3:00 AM, since I'm the one actually getting up at 4:00 AM to work in a bakery. Although your neighbor has an old noisy car and you don't like him using his own driveway... it doesn't sound like there's much you can do except sleep with earplugs in.

i'd first communicate on your associates with regards to the nuisance barking. If that would not artwork then the subsequent call would be to the police for noise violations. this would of direction reason undesirable blood between you and your associates, yet while they get stated sufficient, they might cut back the barking. contained in the advise time, i'd placed money right into a dogs whistle or something else this is stressful to them and blow it each time they start performing like that. quicker or later they might get the hint.

No. There isn't really much that you can do. It is not your driveway. He is not breaking the law. You are being a bit presumptious to even talk to him about it. Be happy that he doesn't have a motorcycle or one of those loud thumping radios in his car. He does not have to park on the street to please you. Figure out a way to live with it.

Have you considered 'egg crating' your bedroom to reduce noise?
Or is it possible, if you have more than one bedroom, to move to the opposite side of your abode?
Could you go to the local pharmacy and pick up some earplugs?
Do you have the ability to move away?

you reallt cant do anything, its his driveway and its not something hes doing without the consideration of ohters like loud music for a party. other than buying him a new car not much. guess you can get does insulated windows which shut out noise pretty good. plus they keep the room warm when its cold and cool when its warm.

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Learn more http://OnlineDogTraining.enle.info/?t138
The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don’t achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren’t putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.
The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.
Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.
