Not in Canada. Sometimes there are designated areas for smokers to smoke, but most of the time (in Vancouver and surrounding areas) it is always smoke free.

Not where I live. I think it depends on the place. Our town passed an ordinance affective at the beginning of this year. I think it really bites, but that's because I'm a smoker.

In Singapore, smoking is still allowed at nightclubs and bars but will be outlawed next year. At restaurants, smoking is still allowed in 10% of outdoor seated areas but not indoors.

Most of the time yes except that now some cities are outlawing it. It is illegal to smoke in bars and restaurants in New York now. Cities are putting this up for vote lately.

They just passed a no smoking ordinance in my town and several bars have had to go out of business. I am a smoker and if I do drink I do need to smoke, so I don't go to bars anymore. I don't like to smoke in restaurants, but my hubby is a heavy smoker so we don't even go to restaurants anymore. It sucks.
