If your having so much pain that it's keeping you awake, then you need to go to the emergency room. They will bill you, they can't send you away without making sure your stabilized and not in any danger. Severe foot pain can be a sign of a blood clot, which can put your life in danger...especially a possibility if you haven't injured it. I'm a worry wart though, so I tend to go overboard...it could be something like gout, which isn't immediately life threatening, but something that needs taken care of. It could be a potassium or magnesium deficiency causing a muscle problem in your foot...what it all comes down to is that pain shouldn't be so prominant that you can't sleep. If it is, then something's wrong and you need to go to a doctor.

Without knowing specifics, it kind of sounds like you may have plantar faceitis (spelling?). I had the same thing and what I did was tape my foot by putting a large piece on the bottom of my foot tightly from the ball to the heel and then wrapping the whole foot to the ankle at night, keeping the foot at a right angle. During the day, do exercises where you lean up against a wall, stretching your bad foot way out behind you pushing the toes down and stretching the Achilles tendon several times a day. Yes, it will hurt, but keep it up.

It relatively simply seems like developing pains. *shrug* I have 5 kids, and all however one have skilled excrutiating developing pains. Have you spotted that the trials are restricted to unique occasions of the day, for illustration, after plenty of bodily pastime? Growing pains so much more often than not arise at night time, opening within the night time .. often. Reason being, they have been relocating all day, jogging, gambling .. and by way of midnight whilst they are our bodies have become worn out, the suffering catches up with them. Avoid the bloodless compresses and stick to warmness, or a smooth therapeutic massage. If you are definite it isn't this, then see a further general practitioner and demand on x-rays and if want be an MRI or ultrasound.

What's the pain caused by? If it's a sprain there is nothing a doctor can do anyway. Just keep it immobilized for a couple of weeks but if it's severe for at least a month. A break you should take it in to a doctor. You may check with your state's department of economic security office to see if you qualify for state funded health care. There are free clinics most times.

Go to the ER, they have financial help papers you fill out before you get seen and my costs have been fully covered so far, the 2 times I have been.
