For sure, you wouldn't have to wear your head gear--lol. Anyway, your mouth is shut tight during the embalming process and for viewing purposes. How many dead people have you seen in a casket with a great big smile on their face??

honestly that's up to the surviving family - they work out all that with the funeral home. If it's important to the family then they'll take them off. After a person dies it doesn't matter anyway.

No, they aren't removed. We had a patient in ortho a few years ago who passed away, we didn't remove them.

Probably not unless they were worth something or had sentimental value to anyone. Or if it was necessary to make cosmetic adjustments.

No, not unless the Mortician is asked to do it by a member of the family.

That's a great question. I have no clue how to answer it, and I did a quick search and found nothing, so I'm interested in seeing if anyone qualified drops by to answer.

if your death is in the electric chair, they would take them off. they HAVE to. and if they held sentimental value or you were being cremated.
