I haven't seen any evidence where islam treats man and women differently, However I see it in other religions.

Please don't give me all that crap about what muslim people do, I can do the samething very easily against non-muslims.

I am talking about religions.

These are just a few examples:

Because the former two were corrupted by the hands of man. The Quran is protected, so women have rights. ANd to the first answerer, who said MUSLIMS don't use deodorant? I use Dove Green Tea Scented. I also wear various brand name perfumes after having had a shower using the shower gel and then using the lotion, you know, the layering effect? Brother, some people are just dumb, like the first answerer. Instead of trying to use what little bit of functional non drugged brain they have to actually think of an answer to a good question, they insult. That also means you struck a chord of truth and they didn't like having the truth shown to them. Good job!

Malaysia, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan are international places the position women have extra rights. yet it really is suitable to city elements purely. Rural elements are nonetheless ruled by technique of custom. lack of girls rights isn't Islamic. Islam is the first faith which gave equivalent rights to females. at the same time as Christian clergy used to imagine that females do no longer have a soul and are source of corruption interior the society, Islam gave equivalent rights to females, by technique of fixing their percentage interior the inheritance. Islam made lady a legal responsibility of dad, brother, husband and interior the absence of all, the nearest relation, like uncle or grand father. So a woman is rarely without help and hasn't ever to seem for a job or occupation. it really is an outstanding privilege that is discovered no the position. Islam is the first faith which produced women students of religion, women saints and females warring parties. So in case you opt for to study the importance of girls, be conscious it your self quite than searching on media hype by technique of in contact quarters. Muhammad Javed Iqbal

I think u do not have enough knowledge about the status of women in Islam. They do not have any rights. They are not to allow go outside without covering their faces. In spite of sacrificing their whole life for their family;3 times saying DIVORCE and their relationship with their husband is ended.Thousands of women in PAK and GULF countries are burned every year.Islam do favour more than one marriage.Their is lack of education in many women specially in south Asia.Women can't go for work. They stay at their home just as a prisoners.I think You just have watched the creamy layer of Islam. In my city their are also two types of Muslims. Those who are rich. They have a better life. They are allowed to wear modern dresses and they can go for work also. But this is the minor educated section. The major section is uneducated and their women have no rights. They are still captured in blind faith and superstitions. You have just watched d the status of women in western countries if you will visit PAK INDIA OR AFGHANISTAN OR ANY OTHER GULF COUNTRY your whole opinion would be fully changed.

This is such a sensitive topic which can't be described by a short answer.
And you are talking that christanity do not give any right to the women.Women are living alone and free. That is the main right.Whereas in India and PAK it is almost impossible for a muslim women to live alone.

Wow. If you're serious you should go to any country that uses Islamic or Shariah Law and see how women are treated. They are equal to half a man in diya, inheritance and in court. They can't even leave the house without their spouse or father and men can have up to four wives. Then look at Christian and Jewish nations. They are mostly liberal democracies where women are given the same rights. Is it a coincidence that Israel is the only middle eastern nation where women are treated equally? No. Read some books on Islamic Law and then you'll realize what I'm saying.

I'm afraid you don't have that quite right. You state, "I haven't seen any evidence where islam treats man and women differently."

The illustrious Quran has the following to say about the "equality" of women:

"Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them." (4:34)

Women's testimony is equal to half that of a man:
"Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her." (2:282)

Polygyny, and sex with slave and captive women:
"If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be fable to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable." (4:3)

oh yes, i love the idea of absolutely no gender identity

men and women are completely different and I'm glad it's that way

just because religions respect that does not give you reason to complain

I would appreciate you for being a man trying to respect women but once you started to point fingers at religion, i'm a little pissed. back off and respect other peoples beliefs

The only thing i can think of is we are our husbands help meet. we answer to our husbands but they are required to respect us as well. it is easier for a muslim woman to be respected because she wears the apropiate clothing. the Bible says a woman should do her husband Good and not evil all the days of her life. Proverbs 31 even tells women what is expected of them. The Bible also says a man is to leave his family and cleave to his wife. he is to respect and cherish her. she is to be his queen. i think it is easier for husbands to do this if his wife does not shame and embarrass him. in a nut shell a woman can do as she pleases as long as she is not disrespecting her husband. the only thing a woman is forbidden to do regardless is sit in a seat of power. basicaly we are to stay away from a church pulpit and refrain from trying to be a leader in society.

christians and even many non-christians raised in the states will argue the opposite til they're blue in the face, without the slightest idea of the cultural differences and perspectives involved - they can only see their way, and if you see things differently, they say you are wrong. I think it is partially because Islam is a scientific religion, accepting that women have value, and are a very important portion of society, whereas the christian world tried to treat them like property/cattle for the majority of history.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of hateful "answers" to your question, it is just a perfect example of the fear that they may be wrong and have things to work on...
