The origins of the doctrine of the rapture are hotly debated. The Orthodox, mainline Protestant, and Roman Catholic churches, which represent the majority of Christians worldwide, have no tradition of such a teaching and reject the doctrine, in part because they cannot find any reference to it among any of the early Church fathers and in part because they do not interpret the scriptures the way that Rapture-believers do.

Yes, the rapture is the "catching up" that Paul speaks about. Jesus will come as a thief in the night for His bride. Those that claim the "rapture" is a false doctrine, have not study the Bible.
The English word rapture is NOT in the Bible, but translate rapture to Greek and you will see it means "catching up".
Not all shall see His coming in the clouds, only His bride. The day all eyes shall see, all ears shall hear, all knees shall bend, and all tongues confess Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords will be at His Second coming... cause all shall see Him coming with His saints.

After the shout of the Archangel is heard, the living and the dead in Christ (i.e., those who have not worshipped the beast and are free from his mark upon their foreheads) shall reign with God in Heaven for one thousand years. Then, once the Rapture has occured and the saved are off the planet, the Democrats will regain both the House and the Senate.
Oh wait... that's already happened. Dang it! I missed out.

Not written in the Bible
1 thess.4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Clouds = witnessness of christians...Hebrews ..12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about * with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Air= AER in the Greek..means "the breath of air or Spirit.

Yes by faith-faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evedence of things not seen. I believe with all my heart that there will be a day when planes will fall from the sky, and cars will run off of the road, and trains will derail, becouse people of God being taken up to be with Christ.

When I am sitting at my desk and in despair, when I am weary from so much brokeness; and the Lord comes and comforts me. Believe me I look forward to the day he comes back for me. When he takes me from this awefull place and wipes away all of my tears. He is here with us now. He helps us walk, he picks us up when we fall. He carries us when we can't go no further. He stands and surrounds us as a sheild, as we stand in the middle of the battle field. He protect us . And still after all of that he cleanes and washes away all of the sin we do in between that point. We will never be perfect but he never stops loving us. He never stops defending us. He is the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You bet he will come back for us and unit us fully with him. Those who have called out for him in there weakness. In there shame. In there sin to be forgiven. The ones that opened there heart up and started the relationship; that turned out to be the father to the fatherless. The friend to the friendless. The lover of your soul . He will come back for you too cuz he loves you . So much he died for you no matter what you did or can ever do from this point forward . He can forgive and love you. And if at your last breath if you called out to him to rescue you. You would find yourself in heaven with him; even if you gave him one moment he would give you eternity
