For the last three years I have been trying to have faith - but I'm finding myself resentful expecting guidance or an answer and not finding it.
What do I do to shake this feeling? because if something doesn't change soon, I'm just gonna have to walk away. It's too painfully frustrating. Any advice?

who are you looking for? the only one that can answer you is GOD. there is no one else out there. and the only wat to GOD is JESUS CHRIST. and the only way to JESUS is the KJV holy bible. GOD says to meditate on it daily. start in genesis and read to revelation. then start over. every day that you pick up your bible, dont predetermine how much you will read or how much time you will spend reading it. before you open it, ask GOD to open you heart and mind to HIS truth. if you havent done so already, ask JESUS to cleanse you and save you, to be your saviour, forgive your enemies so HE can forgive you. read GODS word with a desire to put off your old ways and let GOD renew you and put a right and holy spirit within you. this is the ONLY way you will find what you seek. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO COMMIT YOUR LIFE TO IT...GOD SAYS DOUBLE WOE TO HE THAT HAS WALKED WITH HIM AND TURNS AWAY, REJECTING HIM...

three years is a long time.
But how could anyone just give you faith without knowing you personally? I mean about your problems and how to deal with them. The best I can do is to just tell you to trust and have patience.
But don't worry. Because this is a personal God who allready gave so much hope to so many people - to so many generations of people with every kind of problem immaginable. And not only to the saints but especallly to those who seemed completely lost.
Its not true that the universe is indiferent! Its said that when one sinner repents all heaven is in extasy. Jesus himself said that his mercy is so great that no living thing has ever been able to comprehend it. And that sooner would heaven and hell turn into nothingness than his mercy not embrace a trusting soul.
And once you know this then the next step is to trust. Like psalm 40 says here:
I have waited for the Lord
and he stooped toward me,
and he put a new song into my mouth...

The answer is within.
You have spent time and effort looking for answers in the wrong direction. You have been looking up to books or individuals to give you knowledge and faith.
Start by going inwards. Feel the peace within you. Allow a few moments of isolation and silence everyday. When your mind is relaxed pray to God for His blessings. You will be shown the path best suited to you.

You shouldn't expect an answer, because you would then expect God to communicate with you through a satellite, because other than that, he would defy the laws of nature. The only thing you can have is hope, hope for a better life, and the confidence and courage to pursue any dreams you have.

I'm guessing it's supposed to get frustrating and many other crazy feelings before it gets better. Somethings got to give! Hopefully the frustration will make way for new thoughts, a view point, new opportunities...
