the guy i like, but really...dont want to like usually texts me or IM's me once or more a day. i really want to stop talking to him because i know he's not what i need in my life. he's sometimes a bad influence and i dont want that at all because i'll admit, i'm a "good" girl. basically i'm asking how do i get over him?!

delete his number from your phone. if you can, get your number changed. when he text or im's you, delete it without reading. if he calls don't answer. if you know he is going to be there, don't go there.
eventually, he will get the point and back off. and it will get easier for you as well.
just don't give into returning messages. don't open them, cause if you do you are setting yourself up.

Break it off and tell him that you do not want to see him anymore. Tell him that you are seeing someone else and then start dating again. There are good guys out there, be patient.
