Ah, Bush Sr was Director of the CIA from January 30th, 1976 to January 29th, 1977.
At no time during that time frame, was the US involved in Afghanistan.
The US involvement in Afghanistan didn't start until 1979.

Oh no, we funded Saddam in the past. We also funded the Afghanis against the Russians. Friends become enemies, vice versa. That's politics & war.
The enemy of our enemy is our friend kind of thing.
You use the fact that the U.S. supplied Saddam with wmd's as a point against Bush. But why don't you look at it like this...we knew Saddam had wmd's because we supplied him with some.
