I bought a Dell computer from an unknown person. My question is: can I use it and still get updates from Microsoft, even though I have not registered it? Details will be appreciated.

As long as the seller left the programs on the computer, you should be able to get updates providing they were legitimate in the first place.

You won't know until you try.
