I am a 27 year old male. Last year my I was engaged to the woman I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. I loved her with all my heart. For reasons that are not important the relationship ended. My question is this...How do I know what love is? I thought I had found love but apparently what I thought was love wasnt. I dont want to get hurt again how do I know what love is?

I don't know what love is. I am 33yr old male. I've been married twice, and have 2 kids. I love my kids, but to me, that means that I would lie, steal, cheat, and or kill to keep them safe. I've never felt like that about a chick, but I don';t think that would be the same. At this point in life, I am looking for someone who will help me take on the world. A partner who helps me and allows me to help her as well as I can. But I sure wish you luck, and if you ever find out if love really is magical, let me know

Love is something different to everyone and when you have it you know it. Its no one thing to everyone. If she hurt you thats her fault not yours and you shouldnt doubt yourself because of something someone else did. True love doesnt die quickly and if you are still hurting a year later you loved her. But dont let it deter you from future relationships because all people are different.

love to everyone is different to me love is someone that i can turn to when i need a shoulder to cry on that person i can trust with my life. A person that i can always re lie on and depend on that will love me for all my mistakes I've made and help me through them. I'm able to tell them all my deep dark secrets someone that loves me for me.

you can be in love with some one with out them loving you back. They are the ones not in love, you are the one in love. The lack of communication is what was the problem, I suspect at some point you were both in love, but she stopped and drifted away while you didnt.
