Ok, first don't pop blisters, but no sweating since you've already done that. Next, try soaking it with peroxide, may sting some, but will help clean up infection. Don't be squeezing it anymore. Let it heal on it's own. Keep a bandaid on it while wearing shoes, otherwise let air get to it while propping foot up. Do you have diabetes? Is there a chance you could? If you do, or a chance you could, get to doc ASAP. How long has this been going on? That would also determine how severe this is or could be. Any fever? What color is the puss? Last tetanus shot? If for any amount of doubt, please go to the doc...

I would have to say that it is not gangrene, however, it is infected. I would pour peroxide on it, and, if you are putting a shoe of any sort on, cover it with a band aid so that it is not in contact with any materials that could irritate it. Do not continue to "squeeze" it, as you will continue to re-open the wound and, as much as we think our hands are clean, there are many germs that hang out on our fingertips. If the wound does not begin to heal, if the area continues to redden, you should definitely see your doctor. If the wound is infected, they will probably prescribe a localized antibiotic treatment or a round of oral antibiotics. Keep an eye on it, and remember, it's always better to be safe that sorry. Go to the doctor if it is worrying you.

NEVER mess with a blister, man! If your foot is to the point that it's painful and getting worse, at least call your doctor and let them know. If you happen to have lavender or lemon essential oils in the house, try putting a few drops on it- both oils are known to have anti-bacterial properties. If not, try Neosporin or another antibiotic ointment in the house. I doubt highly that it's gangrene, but you should let your doc make the call.

It probably just needs something to kill the germs.
It's not gangrene though. A local infection won't become gangrene unless you get that flesh - eating bacteria. If you had that, you'd know it, cuz your skin would be eaten up, and you'd be in severe pain.
But, since it's on your foot, and will always be irritated by walking, and your shoes, etc, you might want to see a doctor.

Instead of asking if you should go to the doctor, why not do it? It sounds like a pretty bad infection and painful too. It isn't gangrene, but could develop into that if you are a diabetic. Get thee to a doctor asap!
