Everything that we do is sin unless we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and repented of our sins. After accepting Him, we are forgiven.
After you have formed a personal relationship with Jesus as a Christian, then all things can be done in moderation unless they are against Him. Pray about it. God bless.

Hello, I will simply make one remark right here so that you can believe approximately very deeply. Other faiths have reached their present tainted/corrupted/transformed states via greed, fabrications, creativity, and usually pushing too tough to make matters socially applicable. I will depart it at that with out an excessive amount of element. As for the query, Y!A isn't a situation for Fatwa, if you happen to care sufficient approximately your religion/faith, you're going to ensure you get your understanding from the first-rate credible resources/persons round. My individual opinion is if it reacts together with your dermis/frame..then on the whole a no no. If it is sort of a decal or paint then i believe it's k. If it symbolizes whatever dangerous or unnecessarily glorifies whatever/any individual ...a further no no. May Allah consultant you to a wholly virtuous existence and present you within the hereafter.

I was under the impression that the Leviticus passage was referring to making memorial scars or tattoos for the dead in their skin, but i got tattoos anyway. over time( I should warn you)the ink runs and they look like crap, just so you know, take a look at some old people with tattoos, the ink runs under the skin until they look really tacky. I regret getting tattoos.

well i think that there are no other passages in the bible talking about tattoo,.,.,.but in I Corinthians 3:16 it tells that our body is God's temple.,.,.if you will have tattoos i think it wont be a good testimony to other people.,.,.whatever image your going to have your body will be poisoned.,.that is why it is a sin to get tattoo.,.,.because your body will not be pure anymore...besides there are other better ways of sharing your testimony,,.and isnt it enough that you read Leviticus 19:28.,..it's very clear you know.,,,

I am a Roman Catholic and the Church has traditionall taught that tatoos are a form of self-mutilation of the body which is created in God's image AND a temple of the Holy Spirit.
The Church is also concerned about health issues - many doctors have spoken out against the tatoo procedure and studies have been done.
I do not think it qualifies as a "grave sin," though, and I would not be quick to judge anyone because everyone's background and motives are different.
It so awesome that you want to proclaim your love for God but there are hundreds of ways to do this without mutilating your body. Write a song, write a poem, wear a cross....but most important of all...witness to Him by the way you live.
God bless you.

It's not a sin. Getting a tattoo is like getting your ears pierced! Getting tattoos was a sin to Jews, but Jesus taught it doesn't matter what you eat, how you wear your hair, and stuff like that. God cares what's on the inside.
Actually I want to get a cross tattoo on my shoulder at some point. :)

Many churches have disagreed on this for a while. I honestly believe that it is not a sin to get a tat! I have 5! I also have piercings. The bible says that your body is a temple. But does not say not to get a tattoo. The extremist, such 'primitive baptist' translate that to mean that women can not cut their hair, shave their legs, or wear makeup, pants, or any skirts above the calf.
It really is a personal issue! I say go for it!

Your body is a temple and we're here to paint the walls! The Bible says a lot of things that Christians choose to ignore. ie: meat on Fridays, working on the Sabbath, glorifying money, breaking the Commandments... Tattooing in the Bible refers to marking your body for the dead. It doesn't say no tattoos , period. Does it?

I'm currently have one tattoo on my left arm... a pink cross with blue and like a dark pink shade roses. to me it means Faith grow with the Cross.. I am thinking get one more since to remind myself how Jesus never left me when my (will be soon ex) husband left me after 36 days. I am thinking about have Jesus comfort a woman on her right with a horse spirit on her left watchin' (a horse I had lost recently).
If it is a sin to you, then don't do it... if is not a sin... just go for it.
