Background: I met him just over a month ago. I scared him off--plus, he's still getting past being a bit jaded from his divorce 3 years ago. He was open to getting together. We did a few times. Before, he was sure he didn't want to date. Now that I'm acting more like myself with him, he's open to it. I saw him on Friday...we had a great time and ended up fooling around a bit. He seemed a little distant after we did in the morning. He dropped me off on Saturday--good conversation on the way home and a kiss goodbye. I've not heard from him yet. I know that was just yesterday. But how long do men usually wait to call? He's 37 and this is a busy work week for him. When should I write him off?

Sounds like he's not over his divorce yet. He has a lot of hurt feelings to deal with and he's not back to his normal self. Don't wait for him. Everyone's is different, there is no universal answer. But some say, it takes 1/2 half of the duration of the failed marriage to completely recover and be normal again.

If you have to ask, I think now might be as good a time as any.

On the other hand, it might be a good idea to take some time and think about what happened and how it transpired, perhaps this would help as it almost appears from my end as if this is something you've experienced before?

Funny guys, we are, we lust and lust and lust after the woman who'll freely give herself to us, but do so and we run at once.
It's ok thou, we don't mind it too much.

Good luck.

in my books.....he should have called or left a message almost immediately....especially after you had been somewhat intimate.
That was the question, right?
