I don't know, but for some crazy reason you can kill your own baby in the womb, but no one else can.

Because an unborn baby IS a human life after all! Glad some law finally recognizes that fact. What I don't understand is how, after this murder conviction, anyone else can ever get away with killing an unborn child legally. (Especially partial- birth abortions.)

it's because of a new law that was passed by a bunch of conservative christians really just for the Peterson case (the law is called Laci's Law or something similar).
And there is a time limit where a mother can abort her baby. Laci was 7 months pregnant at the time...so she couldn't have gotten a LEGAL abortion at her advanced stage of pregnancy.

because of the fact abortion isn't a criminal offense. I also have a independent viewpoint on the full professional-life/professional-selection element. this is purely that desirable now, they don't see killing a fetus as homicide for the reason that is a call, yet whilst a woman grew to become into making plans on having the infant or if it grew to become into stepped forward in the being pregnant stages, then it would would desire to count kind.

Scott Peterson was convicted of murder and is setting on death row. Whether the baby was viable or not is of no consequence. Very few Christians realize this but the bible is very clear when it comes to the status of an unborn fetus. I'm not going to recite verses here but suggest you study them on your own and I promise you will be surprised at what you learn.
Edit: BTW, a thumbs down does not change God's word.

The baby was found outside the mother's womb I believe. They think he was probably already born when killed. But the law is also after so many months a baby in the womb is considered a person.
A very sad case either way.

Who cares about legal terminology, Scott Peterson would have been screwed either way. You could charge him for triple murder and it wouldn't do him any more harm.

In that particular case, she gave birth to their son through coffin birth, from what I have read the baby was born alive, but drowned. Anyone taking a life is a murder.

Doesn't make sense, does it?
Evidently, in some cases an unborn child is human, but in other cases, not.
I live in the country. Alot of folks around here breed animals.
Now, a farmer knows that when his prize cow gets with the bull, she is carrying a calf.
But somehow, if it's his girlfriend, it suddenly becomes "a clump of cells".
The cow is "gestating"...the girl is "knocked up".
Amazing, isn't it?
Go figure.....

It happens so often, pregnant women getting murdered by their men, that they made it a law the murderers get charged with two murders.
