They look like little zits and are clustered together on his lower back (on the top of his butt crack) It is about 2 inches in diameter of little blisters and reddened. What could it be?

it could be a rash or a mild form of eczema. But the best thing to do right now is put some desitin on it. That should help it alot.

a rash i reccomend change his diaper more often, and put cream on it. chnage the diaper more often than typical because it will elinate it if it is not gone or smaller in 2-3 days calls the doctor

sounds like nappy rash, try see a pediatric nurse for help on how to stop it and just to check its not more serious, but basically it need to be cleaned and then have a mild baby safe cream on it, like vitamin e45
