I would like to change my name when I become a US citizen. What is involved? How long does this take? Does it prolong the naturalization process? Any complications? Has anyone done this and can give me any advice?

I am currently a Polish citizen. Do I have to change my name there too? or can I use my old EU passport when I travel to EU?

Any advice is appreciated. TIme is of the essence. Thanks!

Several process you asking here,
you can change your name by going to courts and getting it done. In the U.S.it take filing forms and paying the fees, before your court date.
to be come a citizen you need a legal name, now or changed, but i would not change it after you file for paper work with the U.S.
Natrualization takes a minumin of 5 years, and school to learn what on the test.
once you have a U.S. passport you nerver want to use your polish one again, the U.S. can take your citizenship for using it.
