My friend Brianna wears her hair up but puts some curls in it. She too is african american and it looks really cute.

take a look at the catwalks for inspiration- they got some crazy crazy hair styles going on - on white people which in my book doesnt look half as good as it does on african /asian people. try www.vogue.co.uk and look at the catwalk shows.
