You're a minor so most likely your parents will be ordered to pay. If you were older, you could refuse to pay and then you would probably be held in contempt and put in jail until you pay... but you still end up paying the money. In any case, when your parents pay it, ask them if you can do something to avoid having to pay the money back. Then, when they say no and start laughing at you, suck it up and find a way to pay them back.

Let me get this straight. You purposely broke the mirror on someone's car and you don't want to pay to replace it?
Maybe an alternate punishment would be your parents saying they don't want to pay for a lawyer and see what happens then.

You are not going to pay for anything, punk. Your parents are going to cough up the repair money, rental car money, and the big fine. They will be lucky to get out for under a $1000.
You get a life time criminal record for vandalism.
The worst that will happen to your sorry butt is probation. Pity, there was a time when you would have been tossed in kiddie jail.

Regardless of what you "wanna" do, you will be ordered to pay restitution for the damage that you caused. That is known as responsibility for your actions. You chose to break the mirror and you should have to pay for it.

your PARENTS will more than likely pay a FINE and pay to have the mirror fixed...you did it and you should pay...should the person you did it to suffer as you wanted to be destructive....if you think that...i hope they throw the book at you. I bet your parents will love a big fine and restitution....you better hope they don't have to rent a car while it is fixed...your parents will love to pay for that too...

Since you are a minor your parents will have to foot the bill. You will have no say in what punishment the court orders.

If the judge orders that you pay restitution, you must pay. Plus, its the right thing to do. If you intentionally damage someone else's property, it is your responsibility to pay for its repair or replacement.

You could ask to be tried as an adult. That way, your parents wouldn't have to pay and you could be someone's butt-buddy in jail.
