I've only bleached my hair about twice, but it was waaay too damaging, so I dyed it back to around my natural brown color. I blow dry and straighten it everyday, but it still looks very frizzy and dry. I was wondering if there are any expensive products I could use on my hair while it's growing out that would make it feel and look dramatically healthier? Only answers from people who actually know a thing or two about hair. Thanks!

I would stop with as much blow drying and straightening as you can ( or it will make it worse ) i would also get a trim every few weeks till you get all the bad hair off / or it will just continue up onto the good hair.I have very thick, wavy course hair and a few times had a lot of damage from coloring / and heat to it / i found a few things in the section at Target for women of color - There is a shampoo and cond. name is PINK - i still use it and it is great with my hair, also there was a prod. that i can't remember the name in the same section and it was for damage, split ends, etc. it was in light green colors and there was a 3 step process ( sham.cond. and an oil ) this worked good to get rid of the fried pieces.Sorry i can't remember the name- maybe someone on here will know. Good luck / if you have waves or curl- try air drying and just scrunch it !

Ok first stop blow drying it and straightening it everyday. It's not necessary to wash it and style it out everyday it's extremely drying to your hair. You can go to a salon and get a scalp treatment which is a deep conditioning treatment that will help repair the dryness. In the mean time keep up on your trims, every six weeks, and use a professional shampoo for color treated hair, like matrix or redken. Grocery store shampoos have a high ph and additives that coat your hair. hope this helps.

It's probably all the drying and straightening you do. See if you can take a few days a week where you let it dry naturally. Also, when was the last time you a trim? Just a little bit off the ends can make a huge difference. Hot oil treatments work well, too. Good luck!

My friend you have SHOT your hair with that bleach the only thing you need to do is to cut a inch a month for about six months. That way your hair will grow out with out being so short and shocked.Because you can throw your hair into SHOCK by cutting it all at once.Take it from me and do deep condition every two weeks and hot oil treatments. And leave in conditions. Also use a non Alkaline shampoo. That should do it. Relax and forget the BLEACH completely girlfriend.

Your hair is in a bad state, so you should use conditioning treatment but before that you better stop using blow dryer or any source of heat and any kind of chemicals and i mean it. Only use PH balanced shampoo and conditioner. the last optional step is to have a buzz cut. This would save you lots of time and cash and your problem will be gone in matter of minutes, beside good weather is ahead and it's a nice style as well. I buzzed mine last week and im loving it.

yeah, bleaching it causes a great damage on your hair. Everytime you dye it, wether it is at home or a salon, always ask and buy color treated shampoos. I use 30 dollars shampoos every time i dye my hair and it helps protected it. Use oils like "Biosilk" it is expensive but it works. It will leave it shiny and will help throw the frizz away. Try not to straighting it every day. More like 2 a week

Maybe you should cut it off and start over with a healthy new head. You could start by getting trims, after a while you will have a fresh new head of hair. Or you could just try the Nexxus line which is made for you very reason, it's expensive but it works.

I went from black to bleach blond decrease back to darkish brown. So what I did first grew to become into use Redken severe conditioner, I washed my hair with shampoo as everyday and then positioned the conditioner on my hair and left it on for 20-half-hour, I purely clipped it up and went on making waiting or in spite of. I additionally use Biolage, colour treatment, shampoo and conditioner, that's created from organic factors and my hair has in no way felt extra ideal. you will get those issues at any salon. good success and that i wish that this helps you.

try INFUSIUM leave in conditioner. Buy a spray bottle and spray on as directed.
Leave in conditioners coat the hair shaft and will make the shaft smoother and thus less frizzy.

Also when in the shower, run cold water through hair before getting out. Again the cold water causes the hair shaft to contract (not expand like warm water does) and again this will cut down on frizz.

There is nothing to cure the damage, you have to let it grow, I suggest you cut it to a short size, maybe two inches above your shoulders, and use a texturizer to give body and weight to it, I use Sebastian products. Massage you scalp every day to help it grow a little bit faster.
