First of all I recommend that you check out Officer Training Corps(OTC) programs since you said that you have a lot of college behind you. Your local recruiter will have info on these programs and who to contact and what to do. Me personally, I'm hardcore Marine Corps!!! It depends on what you're looking for and how much time you want to spend from home. If you plan on having a family in the future, I would go Air Force. I speak from personal experience, my dad was 20 years Air Force and he had TDY's here and there but for the most part he was home. However if you go Navy, plan on a lot of sea duty. My oldest brother is a SCPO (Senior Chief Petty Officer) in the Navy and has spent A LOT of time away from home (deployed 6+ months at a time) and even missed the birth of one of his daughters. Career wise all the branches offer excellent job (MOS) options and the benefits (G.I. bill, housing, medical, vacation, etc) is pretty much the same across the board. Honestly, this is a decision that only you can make and you gotta listen to your heart. What branch do you feel more faithful to or which uniform do you like better :) LOL. Good luck in your decision and I wish you the best.

I am in the navy it is the second best in the way they treat thier people but join the air force they treat thier people way better they have better living accomodations better food you will have a much more enjoyable time plus you will never be on a ship for six months but the others who answered are right the nuke program in the navy is very good and when you get out you can make a lot but the air force has some really good programs too i would join the air force.

Let me begin by telling you, I am in the United States Navy.
Congrats on chosing to serve in the military, its a big step to be proud of. I think you should start by going to each of the services recruiting office, and seeing what each has to offer. Jobs, promotions, bonuses, college $, student loan repayments, etc. What jobs do they have open? Do you want to do that? Then take into account how each of the service members act. Do you feel yourself 'being' a Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Coastie, Airman etc? They are all very different, and I can only tell you about my personal experience in the Navy. Best of luck, and congratulations.

The best branch of the military in my opinion are the Marines! My daddy was a Marine for 24 years retired. My husband was in the Army for 9 years. My brother in law is in the AirForce for the past 16 years. I can't speak for the Navy but as far as quality of life for it's members, you can't beat the Air Force. They lead cushy lives and have the nicest housing and the most programs. They really to put families first. My sister was home when her husband was deployed and his unit sent over the guys who stayed there to mow her lawn weekly and were on call for any reason even if as simple as changing oil in the car. Her husband was gone for 3 months to Saudi and called her twice a day and ate Burger King. My husband was in the 3ID and was deployed to Kuwait then to Iraq for the march to Baghdad. In 10months, I talked to him 4 times for about 5 minutes each call. No one was there to mow my lawn or even called to see if I was ok. Go for the Air Force.

Well it depends on what you want to and how active you want to be. Air Force is a very chill job, mechanics and admin jobs for alot of the enlisted, Navy is alot of mechanic and boat stuff, Marines if you want to be really active, and Army if you want to do basically all of the above, except boat stuff. I have had alot of fun in combat arms Army, but have had alot of crappy times too, but I am pretty sure everyone in any branch could say the same. Have fun making your choice!

I have a brother in law that just retired from the Navy. He said that if he had to do it over again, he would go in the Air Force and advised his son to do the same.

depends WHAT YOU WANT TO DO! if you have moral issues about combat you may not marines, or army they are often on the front lines. if you do not like the water.......don't join the navy duh! the navy and air force offer the easiest lifestyles but AGAIN that might not be what YOU want.
