Okay, so have dark hair, and I've used the fuschia L'oreal Color Rays dye before, and it showed up really brightly and looked nice and everything. So, tonight, I tried the same brand of dye, but in red rather than fuschia, and I did a test strand - the result is that it looks like I just bleached my hair - there's not really any color at all on it. Now, before I go and do all of my hair and end up looking like I highlighted it (meaning the faux-natural, preppy highlights that you see on everyone - I want BRIGHT RED or nothing at all), do you think that the reason the test strand didn't work could be because I didn't get the right proportions when I mixed the dye, and that the test strand was just kind of flukey? I'd do another to double check, but I don't really have the time at the moment... Any input is appreciated, thanks. Also, is there any way to get this particular brand to show up brighter and last longer? It's got peroxide in it. Also, it says not to apply heat... why is that?

Hi. a girl at my school died her whole head with the red color last year.. and it wasnt very bright at all... and her hair was blonde to begin with.

It may be that specific color of red doesnt work well.. hmm..

There were other girls who had BLACK hair and DID get it dyed a bright bright red color, but i think they had it done professionally.

And my friend in 9th grade attempted to dye hers red.. and she had dark hair too -- it turned out NEON pink! Dont ask me how!

good luck with that.

Also- the real reason i even found this question is..

I have a response to the neopets question you asked about 3 days ago.. I also have a hard time with that STUPID birthday thing.. What I do is email neopets http://www.neopets.com/autoform_support.phtml?support=passwords at this link.. and just tell them you forgot your birthday/email.. and include as much info as you can.. and they'll tell you your birthday! Also they'll prolly email it to the email that was on the account.. but if you just check all of your email accounts, then you'll eventually find it!

I wish the best of luck to you!!! :)

I definitely love L'Oreal's real journey a lot greater effective than Revlon Colorstay. i've got tried the two and that i in my view did not like how thick and heavy the Revlon commencing up felt on my epidermis. I had oily/pimples companies epidermis and because it replaced into this sort of heavy commencing up, i finished up breaking out once or twice on an identical time as using the commencing up. Revlon's commencing up is greater effectual in case you have general/dry epidermis. inspite of the undeniable fact that, for everyday placed on, i might advise against it extraordinarily in case you have pimples-companies epidermis. L'Oreal's real journey, on the different hand, is extremely gentle-weight, oil-unfastened, great blendable and has SPF secure practices. the real journey swatches they have are particularly handy so which you will discover the spectacular epidermis tone. to not point out, they slender it down by way of your undertone besides. The oil-unfastened is unquestionably great in case you have oily or pimples companies epidermis. It won't wreck you out yet submit to in techniques whenever you start up using a clean commencing up, be certain you spot verify first. notice a sprint on your cheek first and see in case you have any allergic reaction to it or breakouts etc. That being stated, in case you have dry epidermis, i does not advise this commencing up except you be certain you moisturize previously making use of this commencing up. because of the fact it is so gentle-weight, it has a tendency to settle in the little cracks on your dry epidermis. yet once you moisturize previously making use of, you ought to be waiting to dodge this undertaking.
