one another." Above all else. No pointing fingers at anyone for ANYTHING. Do you agree with that idea?

Even if you think they're hurting you, turn the other cheek. Be the bigger person.

I'm definately not a troll. I'm being honest. I know many people who think Christians hate gays or anyone else "different" than they are. Not true.

I agree w/justbein... people read a scripture and take only the part(s) that suit them or agree with their way of thinking. If everyone in the world could stop being so critical of others we'd all be better off. It's easy to love "nice" people. The real test of Christianity is being able to love the unlovely. I always pray for God to help me love others with the love of Christ. Cause it's a harsh world and it's sometimes hard in my own strength to love everyone as I should. Ask and He will answer. It is not OUR place or job to judge anyone. God hated the sin - not the sinner. : -)

I don't think Christianity is about hate, but I can see a bit why others might think so. I understand that the Bible preaches that it's followers should spread God's word, but many Christians often do so in a rude, condescending manner and often at inappropriate times. Not all do this, but many do and to others it is frustrating. Some Christians choose to promote Christianity to others in a self-righteous, "my religion is the right one and you're going to hell if you don't accept God's word" way that to others is judgemental and arrogant. If you're going to promote something, tell others about the enlightenment and good things that it has brought to your life, not about how much better your beliefs are than theirs and that they're damned if they don't share them. It's that condescending, arrogant attitude that some Christians have that puts many others off. Just giving you another point of view.

But so often it seems christians don't love - not even themselves. I can't tell you how many self loathing Christians I meet who will swear that they and everyone else is an evil sinner responsible for the death of a wonderful man. Even the crucifixcion imagery that riddles the religion. It is hard to see the love, particularly when there are so many willing to damn others who don't agree with them and the many tragedies carried out by the church leaders in the name of Christianity (or standing awfully close to it).
Personally, I do agree with the no pointing fingers and love one another approach - but unfortunately Christians very often seem to be the ones doing a lot of the finger pointing in all areas of our lives, but they are not the only ones.
Peace!

Paul --a Hellenized Jewish psychological who some students now declare became gay--because of incredibly the mysogyny in his writings--(note that: an outstanding form of the business supporters and leaders interior the very early Chrisitian move were women) developed a particular form of Christianity. What became Christianity became a form that became construction interior the mid east and Mediterranean in all likelihood from about the third century BC. a number of it became tied into Greco-Roman secret religions that were quasi monotheistic, some from countless kinds of Gnosticism or old Hermeticism or mystical Judaism. The paradigm popular by technique of Paul, besides the indisputable fact that, took over for some reason. The Gnostics, who talked with regard to the Christ tale as metaphor, were censored, and over the years, what we were left with became a very exoteric, administration-depending politicized faith. The reason? i imagine Paul fairly believed he had a revelation and interpreted the message in accordance to his personal lifestyle and psychology.

Nice idea. Yeah, Jesus said that. But look at all the know-it-all so-called Christians on here thinking someone appointed them as some moral judges, spreading all kinds of hate. And they are not only here. People basically hear what they want to hear and ignore the parts they don't want to deal with.

I am a Muslim. I personally disagree with the statement that Christianity is about hate. The religion itself is good. The problem here is with us, how do we react between each other.

Chrisitanity is not about hate. But there are people who use religion as execuse to hate others and use religion as blind shield to justify their actions.
Chrsitians aren't treated any where near bad as Muslims around the world. People think every Muslims are crazy extremists. Lucky you you're not Muslim.

The Bible is one big love letter from God to man! God is love and He sent His son to die so that we should not die in our sins but have life everlasting! Jesus set the ultimate example for us! We are to follow his example! He said to" love one another as I have loved you." The trouble is that many have given a bad name to Christianity by not living up to what our dear Lord told us to do! It is really weird how they tend to overlook the great examples of Christianity like Mother Teresa who gave all to help her fellow man. She did this because she was a true follower of Christ. She worked tirelessly night and day and devoted every dime to help the hungry and poor. What she did was because of her great love for Christ. She died with very little in the way of material goods, but she showed the love of Christ to the world! What about the missionaries who devote their lives to bringing the word of God to countries where they could even be killed? Not to mention how they are devoted to not only sharing the word of God, but also feeding the poor and starving masses .For a true follower of Christ, there is nothing but love that lives in their heart. They want to share with the world what Christ did for them. We love because we were first loved by God! Anyone who thinks Christianity is about hate does not know anything about Christ and his true followers!
