and at this time we are in the middle of the immigration prosess, she is mexican living in mexico, i'm an american citizen in the USA, i know very well that after all the money and documents have been processed and possibly a 2 year wait later, the people at INS are going to bar my wife for 10 years from coming back to our home, the problem came from the INS not helping us 6 years ago in mexico when i lost my job their, its a long story''''''bottom line is i can't move their or any where else because of the job i have now, plus my mom and dad are getting older and they will need me here to help them , my wife is trapped in mexico with not many choices, and the money drain as well as the strain on or marrage is far to much on both of us, we have a very good marrage ,and i would just like to know what is it that the INS thinks is fair for people like me to do, taking away 10 years of a persons life is to much for one small mistake, they are bad humans, tell me what should we do.

Move to Mexico.
I totally understand your anger.
Fortunately my husband was only here illegally as a minor & therefore won't be subject to the 10 year ban. He will, however be in Mexico for about 12 more months.
Immigration policies aren't fair. Life's not fair. Why should families be separated by borders? But who or what can I blame? The US government? The Mexican government?
To people that say "Illegals are evil because they break laws." or "Why don't they just come here legally?":
Coming here legally was not an option. Obviously, if it was, they would have done it. You obviously have no idea how hard it is to come here.
Children don't have a say in it, their parents are doing what they think's best for them.
Think that "Illegal immigrants have babies here just so they can become citizens themselves."?
First the child has to turn 21 so that the parents can apply for residency. They they'll wait another 15 to 25 years to be approved. So yes, it could help them.... 40 years from now.
And to people that think "they should go back to where they came from. If they can't come here legally, they shouldn't come.":
What would you do?
To everyone that has no concept of what other human being are going through:
Imagine yourself in a place so poor that many people don't have electricity. Running water is a recent improvement. The houses in your neighborhood are made from dirt & rocks. Your family lives in one, possibly two rooms. There are no cars. There are no jobs. No way to feed your family. Imagine. Just imagine. I don't have to imagine too much because I went & saw it for myself.
If you saw it you would not make fun of or criticize undocumented immigrants. You would cry for them and those left behind.

No offense or anything, but you may want to re-evaluate your priorities... Your job is not promised to you tomorrow and neither is your wife... you have to figure out which is more important to you. It sounds like your wife has tried very hard to be with you, and there are ways for her to be here without her being deported. As far as getting her her, there are different ways to go about that, but there are plenty of mexicans here that work hard and hold a steady job and buy thier own houses and vehicles and do everything to show that they want to be american citezens, and in doing this do not get deported at the drop of a hat. I work as a translator for the hispanic community here in my home town, and I am actually working on a case right now with a guy that has gotten caught up in a mess with the court for something that was not his fault, he has been here for 10 years and has never been deported... there are ways to get around it, its just a matter of knowing the right information and people and your level of patience in the whole matter, good luck.

So what your saying is that you knew that her paperwork was outdated and did nothing to keep it from getting that way? You let it expire? Or did you just not follow thru to begin with - because you didn’t want to wait the required time like millions before have done?
INS didn't help you? Just what is it that you expect for them to do?
How is that a problem with the immigration process?
Honestly, you really need to take a look at the situation and see if for what it is - things should have been done that you didn't do (that is why the 10 year wait). You made choices to do things that you knew to be wrong - but did them anyway. Now you want to complain that it has to do with the immigration process? How about put it where it belongs - with the choices that both of you made.
Where is the two of yours responsibility in all of this? Easy to say the government - but take an honest look at what you have written here.

Line 6 "the problem came from the INS not helping us 6 years ago in mexico when I lost my job their"
The problem did not start 6 years ago. The problem started when the law was broken. ie: il-legal entry into the United States by your now wife with your knowledge.
Feel sorry for you...but...don't feel sorry enough to just say, break the law and go on about your business. Where do we draw the line? Which sob story. How many do we have to endure before enough is enough?
At this point with 12+ million il-legals inside our borders...enough is enough...you broke the law...live with it!

wow, that totally sucks, can you really not change jobs? Why not? I'd just bring her to live illegally if that's the case, doesn't seem like the INS is concerned with justice, shame on them!
If you do decide to move, try alberta, there are jobs aplenty for crazy pay, and we don't judge immigrants, also good care for your parents, I'd even help out if you want, as a stay-at-home mom, I have plenty of time to help your parents, and experience caring for the elderly, also your wife could stay at home too, if you both want, with the kind of money you can make here, no problem.
Good luck!

I wanted to tell you I'm sorry for all this terrible stuff you've gone through. I may not have the best advice, however, as I get fed up easily and would probably tell you to not wait for the insane, heartless buereaucracy that is the USA to help you out. I'd jump the border and not look back if you think it's worth it.

Why won't you tell us what the "one small mistake" was that your wife committed that got her a 10 year bar?
You are blaming immigration officers for enforcing the laws Congress passed. YOUR wife is the bad person here!
