If two white people move to Africa, become legalized citizens of an African country, have a white baby born there, and then that baby decides to move to America when it grows up. Could that white man or women who was born in Africa and now living in the United States be considered an African American.

Yes, this is the case. According to our politically correct mumbo-jumbo, if a person born in another country naturalizes, becoming an American citizen, that person would be considered to be (enter nationality here)-American, instead of just being plain-old American.

That is exactly one of the reasons why I do not consider myself to be African-American. If this African-American thing was contrapted to be politically correct for Blacks born in the US, how can a white person then be African-American? Of course, this makes exactly no kind of sense at all!

Just as a former President said, "there is no room in America for hyphenated Americans;" therefore, I am not a hyphenated American, but an American of African descent!

Yes
South Africa is predomitately white. The problem is with most blacks in America today is they claim African American heritage yet they cannot tell you where they are from in Africa. If I cant tell where Im from I would claim to just be an American!

Calling this child an African-American is far more accurate than calling most people with dark skin here African-Americans. The latter is similar to "European-American"... don't hear that term tossed around, though!

Nope, sorry. They won't give you diversity standing and your kid will get in trouble trying it. I think it is nuts, but 'African American' on our forms means 'black'. They should just change the words, for heaven's sake.
