Regardless of whether or not you believe in Heaven;

will you be judged and punished if you have been a mean person while on Earth?

For example, on this chat group, if you enjoy hurting other people's feelings, do you really think you can get away with it?

Dear "rhs" - If you have been a mean person, will your fleeting thoughts just before you die .... punish you for being a hateful hurtful person? (nothing personal)

Dear "arnon" - It's a lot like Jazz, if you must ask the point, you would not understand the question. Now, how do feel about getting your feelings hurt? If that didn't hurt your feeling, then you are a robot.

Hmm...that's a big question to cover in this forum, so I'll give an abbreviated answer. You will be shown the truth of your life, if you have not discovered it already. You will then review your previous life in light of this truth. During this after-life review, you will not be able to lie to yourself or maintain a position of denial. There will be no punishment, yet you will 'get away with' nothing. Consider the grade school bully who upon 'growing up' realizes the torment
he helped create and perpetuate for others.

No. Humans are the ones that judge and label. To the Universe, all things are just that - things. We will all go home when this is over, return from whence we came. Some of us will indulge in self loathing in their own private hell on Earth and will not see the way home at first, but we will all make it there in the end.

Peace!

Hmm. Peoples feeling getting hurt is not a good example. People get their feelings hurt many times when no harm was meant. Sometimes people need to have their feelings hurt because they need to hear what pains them. And sometimes people are just too darned sensitive and can't take the presence of other without getting their knickers in a knot.
Anyway, what was your point?

Believe it or not, already been dead and judged and "returned" as an EXAMPLE. I used to be one of the meanest persons around in my youth as a drug dealer. Then one day, had an accident. DEAD. Choices given? Hell or "return" to be an example FOR "God." You wonder if "prices" are paid for being mean, or if a place exists after we die. They do and if only people knew what hell is "like....."

Every thought, word, and deed will be judged by our most merciful Lord Jesus Christ. However he is also perfectly just. Since he atoned for all sin, he is the one who can judge. If one does not repent they must suffer even as he did before they are heirs to a salvation.

Prolly something like this, and yeah people need to chill:

What I Got - Sublime

Early in the morning, risin' to the street
Light me up that cigarette and I strap shoes on my feet
Got to find a reason, a reason things went wrong
Got to find a reason why my money's all gone

There is no answer to this question that can be proven since once you die you can't come back and tell what went on after you die. but i choose to believe that there is an after life and i choose to believe in God.

Dust you are and to dust you will return.
There are Heavens and Yahweh God is the Sovereign Lord of Heaven and earth and of EVERYTHING, ALL LIFE.
Retribution. Isn't that, "What goes around comes around"?
I love it.

When we die, God will ask one question, "Did you repent from your sin and accept the forgiveness of my Son Jesus?" and the next question will be, "What did you do with that forgiveness?" We do not get away with it. There are violent consequences to our sin. Jesus had to die on the cross to pay for our violent hatred for eachother.

There will be no after. I will stay here on Earth and never leave. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings.
