My daughter is 3 and just started sleeping in her own room. She loves the fact I can hear her if she calls, but she wants me to talk back, so I am trying to find a monitor for that or an intercom thingy thats easy enough for her to use.

Why don't you buy an intercome system? Or even get those little two way radios? That way she can think it's "cool"

Oh my god I just saw one in a catalog the other day and thought it was the best idea!!! I believe it was on OneStepAhead.com, or TheRightStart.com. It does exist though!
