Yes, and to be honest, it happened after something really bad happened to me when I was 14. I was kidnapped by an Egyptian man. I didn't understand how he could do what he did, and still pray 5 times a day. I started to study all religions after I was rescued, including Islam. True story, not kidding you, Allah as my witness this happened. I swear on the heads of my two children. Anyway, I started to hate muslims and Islam after that experience and looked for everything I could to justify it. Only the thinking and rational side of me refused to stay quiet and I ended up discovering that what he did was wrong according to the Quran. I delved deeper and deeper and due to my digging, I have learned so much. At the age of 18, I converted to Islam. I have been a muslim for 5 years now. I learn something new everyday, as Islam is so vast and covers every single aspect of life. Any question you have, there is an answer in Islam. The main thing that drew me was the scientific evidence found in it. It was too strong to ignore. Some say "so what, that proves what?" It proved a lot for me. And many on here know that due to my beliefs, I fight for Islam with every fiber of my being. I love spreading the truth of it, as can be seen in my profile. It's so beautiful and treats women like a precious diamond that must be safeguarded. Too bad people these days are so obsessed with baring it all that they've forgotten modesty, dignity, self respect, and self worth.

Salam :) i'm a Muslim teen residing in Canada. I positioned on hijab alhamdullilah and that's for the main area regular right here for the reason that i stay in a huge city with a massive Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots in college in spite of the indisputable fact that who ask stuff like "yo have been given a bomb under there hahaha". however the toughest area is being different out of your friends. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol relationship boys donning revealing outfits etc is haram, and whilst i do no longer % to try this besides, that's a splash awkward to might desire to describe why i do no longer do it to those who evaluate it in basic terms a factor of being a youngster and its easy to them. Muslims residing in Muslim international places genuinely have it extra handy while it involves installation in. And with nutrition that's a splash complicated yet I constantly attempt to envision the label if i'm uncertain of the factors. yet i does no longer wanna be the different faith no count how complicated it gets and how different i've got faith from each physique else, i'm happy to be Muslim :)

I am not Muslim, but I have met many Muslims (mostly in college) whom I respect and who were genuine, nice, tolerant people worthy of friendship, just like many people I've met of other religions. I dated two guys who were Muslim, one in junior high school and one in college. I like Qadiri Sufism and some other schools. As an American, my president's ignorance about Islam makes me cringe - I don't know much, and even without knowing much I know whole books more than he.
I think Islam currently faces the problem that it is unlikely to find converts in America (particularly amongst white Americans), due to misunderstanding, prejudice, and biases. In order to adapt to America (if it even wants to), Islam will probably have to stress more of a philosophy/methodology than a cultural religion, if that's at all theologically possible. Otherwise the religion will remain hampered by the perception that it's only for "people who aren't us," and people's cultural biases will prevail.

Salaam Alaykum. Yes, I'm a proud Shia Muslim.
I found Islam through years of studying it. I started studying it in 2001 at a young age. My first question about Islam was: "Who is the God of the Muslims?".
I reverted to Islam after listening to the Qur'an for a while. On October 28th, 2006 I reverted to Islam.
Now, I stay in Islam because of the miracles of the Qur'an and such. I suggest that you go to http://miraclesofthequran.com and http://harunyahya.com . Afterwards, go discuss Islam and ask questions and debate others and such at http://shiachat.com

i am not a muslim but i'm interested with the religion. there are some points i don't like abt it like allowing man to marry more than one woman. but aside from that, i think everything is ok and oh, i think i can't also follow some of its rules like not drinking alcohol and not eating a pork, i mean if you do it in moderation it should be ok, right? and also i can wear things like to cover your head and abaya, but not all the time.. i have dated a musllim guy once, and i think he's nice but it didn't work out for us..
