its an GUI(graphical user interface) base database ..so any novice user can operate this ..and it has many features of an rdbms ..n u can make it ur backhand tool for asp, vb or any other application very easily ..

If you don't know, you don't need it. MS Access is a very powerful data tracking program not necessary for average home users. If you want to keep a simple datafile, you can do just as well with a Word table or an Excel file. I track about 500 members in an Excel file. If you keep firstname lastname zip in separate columns, you can filter or sort by lastname for whatever reason, or sort by zip for a bulk mailing, subtotal or total, etc, etc.
