how do you cope with ativan withdrawal?

I'm going to assume this was not prescribed since you wouldn't be in withdrawl under a doctor's care. If, for some reason, you used it recreationally, you should consider a detox program and/or rehab facility.

You don't mention what stage you're in. On your own...

Pain reliever for headaches, some Dramamine to help you sleep (lowest possible dose), and things to help distract you when you get nervous (think video games), and things to help calm you when you want to sleep (think music).

That's all. You're just going to have to wait it out.

It can be a very addicting drug. You really have to wean off of Ativan by take a little less every week.

I don't think an ativan withdrawl would be very pleasent. get sleep, keep rested, and force yourself to munch on something regularly like crackers and water.

and espically, don't take so much. maybe get yourself something lower like clonazapam. try to ween yourself off.
maybe stop doing benzo's alltogether in the future!!!

Contact the physician who prescribed it. Inform him/her of your situation ASAP. Benzodiazapine withdrawal can cause serious medical problems such as seizures. Withdrawal must be monitored by a physician.

This is serious enough to need medical supervision. Go to the ER, or if you have some left, call your MD and tell him what is going on and plan a taper with him.
