Need advice on a friend...I'm back on the dating scene?

and I tell her about all the cool guys I've been hanging out with (she's in a relationship).....anyway, I told her that I've been going on two dates a week and she tells me "Don't flatter yourself"

Is this rude, or is this something a friend would say? Is she really a friend?

I laughed it off but now I'm thinking WTF

She was right - obviously unknown to you - you were actually bragging. Everyone loves themselves but tone it down a bit and you'd be fine. She is a little jealous though.
