Actually it is a de-activated Army Base, adjacent to MCguire Air Force Base. The Hospital and PX are all run by the Air Force. The New Jersey National Guard has a lot of facilities there and there is a Prison on the base.

It's basically a National Guard post in the Pine Barrens of NJ. Last I checked the only active duty unit there was an EOD unit. There's also more base housing for McGuire AFB there also. Adjacent to McGuire and NAES Lakehurst. Post is also tick infested, like the rest of the Jersey pines, there was actually an SOP for tick bites because the Lyme's disease rate was so high. I was in the NJANG so I spent pretty much one weekend a month there for 7-8 yrs plus a couple annual trainings and let me tell you there's nothing quite like a 2-week course of tetracycline.

It's a fort in New Jersey. I was there for a few months in 2005 pretty bad post as far as the army goes. They have a few schools there but lately they've been a big training point for reservists getting ready for and coming back from Iraq.

Southern New Jersey. It's an army base generally used for training soldiers and for departures and arrivals.
