I really don't know of a on line chat-room. Do you have a school counsellor that you could talk to or a favourite teacher or a friend that had a parent pass on ?

I do know that it is very hard to lose your Father, girls seem to be closer to their dad's and when your daddy's girl it is even harder. I was the youngest, and believe me it is hard !!

My advice to you is write your feelings down on paper. Write a letter to your Dad and tell him how much you miss him. Go to the cemetery and talk to him, believe it or not it does help

Put most importantly, if you feel like crying let it out and cry your heart out, it is a grieving process.

Cherish the memories of your Dad..........Those are things that no one can ever take away from you !!!

I am sorry for the pain you feel, and I hope this has helped you

Hi Mary.
I am so sorry for your loss.
The best place I can offer you on line is baysideonline.com, then go to the prayer request link. Let them know that you would like the anonymity of communicating on line if that is what you prefer. If you would like to speak to someone in person, I know there are many Christian churches that offer grief counseling for free. You may also find a support group if you seek out a larger church.

p.s. My dad died Aug 27th 2005.

i feel for you as i just lost my dad 1 month ago today although he lived in Fla. and i didn't see him much i did talk to him everyday.and it is still very hard to believe he is gone.and yes daughters do have a special bond with their dad's so it does make it harder for us.i agree with putting all your feelings on paper and talk to him as if he were still here.i talk to mine everyday and i still cry at night
if you want you can email me i might not be able to give you any advice but i have a shoulder to cry on and an ear to lend. i have a very special friend on line and she helps me a great deal. sometimes talking to a stranger who has been there before helps.just remember the good times you shared and each day will get better
