Shampoo dries out hair because most ot them have a high concentration of sodium laureth sulfate (salt). You may have naturally wavy hair that you are brushing and shampooing the waves out of. Try not using shampoo (just massage your scalp with conditioner to clean it) and putting gel in wet hair. This is not unhygenic- my hair has become less oily and dandruffy since I quit shampoo. Eventually your hair may turn wavy naturally! This takes 2-4 weeks to begin working. Visit the site below for some more wavy/curly tips and a couple straight-to-wavy stories. Hope this helps! (:

you can straighten your hair with a ceramic straightener, but make sure you use something on your hair to protect it from heat damage like Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum or I think redken has a similar product. You only need to do it like twice a week, you don't need to wash it everyday so that way when you do straighten it you can wear it for a few days without the hassle of having to take so much time to redo it and risk damaging your hair.

Maybe find some cute ways to wear your hair up. Sounds like you have plenty of patience to be sitting for four hours anyway. And I don't understand why boys would make fun of you if your talking about shampoo..that's weird.

For one, I highly highly doubt it takes you 4 hours to blowdry your hair. I know someone with extremely thick hair down to their butt, and it takes them less than half an hour to blowdry it. I think you're exaggerating a little bit there hun. Now, you can blowdry your hair and straighten it. As long as you don't do it every single day your hair will be fine. I only do my hair twice a week and it's still perfectly healthy.

girl, this is my tip, I tried it myself, go to a salon and have a hair treatment, it can cost a little but promising, then have your hair SEMI-REBONDED... in that way, you would not damage your hair. dont ask for REBOND, just SEMI REBOND.... aslo... go to a known or popular salon for a much safer hair styling... ciao! ;)
