It needs to be the same time because they share a room.

It partly depends on if they need to be up at a certain time the next morning.

My 4 year old needs to be up at 7 for preschool. I've read in mags like Parenting and online that kids that age need AT LEAST 11 hours of sleep (that includes naps in the daytime too, meaning that if your kids take naps, they may not need to sleep so long at night). My son refuses to nap, so he needs all 11 hours at night. So, I've been putting him to bed no later than 8. That seems to be working good--a lot of times he wakes up on his own at 7.

Now, if you're kids don't have to be up at a certain time in the morning, and you don't want to be up at 7 am, I'd say you could go a little later. Before he started school, I'd let my son stay up 'til 9 or even 10 on occasion, although I probably should have stuck to a specific time. =)

I believe a good bedtime for a 3 and 4 year old is 8pm. Kids need a lot of sleep. I don't think they should go to bed any later than 9pm.
I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old and they go to bed at 8pm. It works well for them. They are rested in the morning but also take a nap after lunch for a couple of hours.

Hope this helped.

I would have to agree with 8-8:30. We start "the countdown" around 7:30, take care of all the nightime routines (bath, brushing teeth, kiss for daddy, pick out a book, etc.) and by 8:30, the sleepytown express has picked up another passenger.
God willing that is.

I would have to say about 8:30 because it's not too late and it's not too early. This gives you time to have dinner with your children, let them play a little, give them a bath, and then tuck them into bed and read them a story. I think that if you went too early, like 7 or 7:30, you wouldn't have enough time to do all of these things plus your children would sometimes be going to bed with the sun still up and I just find that weird. It might confuse them about what "night night time" really is.

Well I would say about 8:00pm. I have a 5yr and his bed time is 9pm and I say he gets in the bed every two nights around that time. It's kinda hard to stick to times if you are a busy mom. I get off work at 5:00pm pick him up from after care pick the baby up from daycare sometimes have to run to walmart because he has some project for school end up being in walmart for a hour have to go home help with home work get dinner going, tell Him too take a bath eat stay up So food can digest then go to bed. What time is it and where did the time go! So I guess it's safe to say GOOD LUCK!

My son is 3 1/2 and his bedtime is 9:00...since he's right in the middle, I would say that would be a good idea.

We chose 9 because it is dark at that time (even with daylight savings time), so he knows it's bedtime at 9 and he is validated because he sees that "God turned the light off!"

Hi I think between 8 and 830 exspecially if they attend daycare. This has to be consistent even on weekends. If you stay consistent with this they will automatically be ready for bed around the same time all the time. I have a 20 yr. old and he is just now starting to stay up later because his body was so use to winding down at the same time all the time. he is now in college and on his own set schedule.

Depends on what time they get up and if they take naps. I would say they need to get around 10 hours of sleep and a 1-2 hour nap. My son goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up at 7 but he takes no naps!

Have them in bed at about 7:30pm. Go through a routine of bath-time, reading and tuck-ins and then hopefully they should be asleep by 8pm. Just don't expect them to sleep in as late as you unless you go to bed at 8pm too...sometimes my husband stays up until 11 and then sleeps until 9 but wonders why the kids won't sleep that long too...lol.
