I am looking for dog breeders, or perhaps someone that has a rat terrier that will soon have puppies. I live in Northern Ontario and am willing to travel (within limits of course..) to look at and adopt a puppy if the need should arrise. Any information that could be provided would be more than helpful.

I have a rat terrier named Molly. We got her last August, and she is really cute. The AKC doesn't recognize them as a breed yet, but I don't care about that. On the last dog show I watched they had a miniature fox terrier that looked just like my little dog. Try looking for one of them if you can't find a rat terrier. The people where I got my dog had a bunch of them, but I live in Louisiana, so that's too far. I guess I just wrote to you to tell you not to give up on finding one. Mine's a terrific little dog with lots of energy, and she's been kind of hard to house train and sheds a lot, but she's so sweet and fun. She's a nice dog to have inside.

Go to petfinder.com Look up Loyal Dog rescue. They are located in Peteborough and have four rat terriers from baby's to adults ready to be adopted.

you can search on internet for adoptable dogs to see if they may have one for adoption check the surrounding states around you the dog shelters you could also post a wanted poster in your local vets office and let people know you want one pet finder.com has pets for adoption
