I have a set of 1800mAm AA batteries and a charger which came with them. I am looking for more batteries of the same kind so I do not have to buy another charger. But all I am finding are batteries of 2650mAh and 2400mAh. I would like a stronger battery but can I use the same charger? If not will a 2650mAh charger work with my 1800mAh batteries?

You can but will never reach a full charge. If you try to charge a lower rated battery in a higher rated charger, you may get some excitement. You are taking a big chance at blowing up some batteries, and probably causing some damage. It is best to match the batteries to the appropriate charger.

Chargers are not rated on the mAh rating of the batteries!
Only on output Volts and current.

However, you don't want to use a N-Cd charger for Ni-MH batteries or vice versa.

So, as long as you use the correct-type charger it may take a little longer for your batteries to charge, but they should be OK
