OK..you may have figured it out but let me answer it for anyone else who wants to know.

TIVA stands for total intravenous anesthesia. This means that anesthesia is delivered completely via IV...no inhalation agents used. A combination of IV agents are used and each one has it's own specific function: amnesia of the surgery, pain relief and muscle relaxation. So,each agent can also be adjusted to achieve the appropriate affect.
