All it takes is body fluids(saliva is one of them) and an open sore. Yes it has been known to happen.

Yes. Most STDs or STIs are transferred through bodily fluids, saliva is a bodily fluid.
The chances are not as high as with penal to vaginal fluid transferrance, but never the less the chance is still there.

if someone has herpes type 1 on there mouth and it comes in contact with anothers person's genitals, it can become herpes type 2 and thats no good. have fun!
