If you think so then why are you asking the question. I will answer honestly. No he is not overrated. Is Chuck Liddell overrated because he got embarrassed by Rampage and has never beaten anyoe great except a 40 yr. old Randy Couture? Silva embarreassed and practically ruined the career of the same guy who beat Liddell. So the answer is No. BS, you are mistaken. Silva is a exceptional fighter who has been in there with the best. Consider who he has lost to. Cro Cop, Dan Henderson, Belfort, Ortiz by close decision, Mark Hunt K1 champion. Those guys ain't slouches. Consider who he has beaten. Dan Henderson, Metger, sakaraba, Rampage, Fujita, Arona, Kondo.
You should think before you type stuff. Yes he has lost his last few fights and has not looked good, but look at his record. That is a lot of gihts for mma and his time may just be over.

Impressive Muy Thai skills but alot of his opponents were weak. Never impressed with his submission game, or his ability to fight on his back. Highly overrated.
To Splitt_s: all those Silva victories u mentioned were won with his Muy Thai--i don't think anyone would say that his stand-up game is not world-class, just that he is not a well-rounded fighter, which must be taken into consideration when ranking Silva. ( I am a fan of Cro-Cop, but i know he's not at the level of Fedor cuz Fedor is more well-rounded.) Silva fans tend to fail to take the one-dimensional aspect of his game plan into account, hence, he is over rated.

You obviously never seen some of his fights. He has lost a few lately but every fighter is bound to lose if they continue to fight for as long as he has. He has a legacy and you say over rated..lol.

Hey EF...the guy can ask whatever question he wants...don't act like such a sissy.
Also you're wrong about Chuck Liddell....simply wrong...there is no one in pride that can take him and there's no one in the UFC that can take him. You're simply wrong. Chuck has avenged all of his defeats except Rampage and that's around the corner. Also you come off so elitist, don't be a jerk.

ya that 31-7 record must mean he's overrated....is this a joke ? he's beaten loads of honorable name's....guy mezger, "rampage" twice, sakuraba...overated? hardly
