Why do pro-illegals (jessica39574
Siervocal) always say that the best way to stop illegal immigration is to allow more immigration? This is prepostrous considering that the US allows more immgrants (legal that is) into the country (mpre thna 2 million when you consider family reunification, visas, and other legal means) per year than all other countries combined! We dont need more immigrants (especially Hispanic immigrants); we need more enforcement of our laws! Through this enforcement, the people who are here will go home and the people who want to come will be discouraged from doing so any other way than legally.
Maybe if I had some illegal members of my family at the crib, I would feel the same as jessica39574 and
Siervocal; unfortunately, my peeps (African descendants) couldnt make it to the consulate or the Mexican border because they were too busy being brought to the US in chains!

You cannot ensure that it is stopped. You can do the best you can do to limit it, but how much money would you ask the government to stop it completely. The other side of the coin is that every American with the exception of the Native Americans is an immigrant and that includes your forefathers and mothers. Just maybe they came to America illegally and just maybe it was the best thing that ever happened to you. Dont paint on ALL illegal immigrants with the same brush.

We will never completely stop it. However, if we outlaw sanctuary cities, do away with automatic birthright citizenship as the EU countries and Canada all have done, deny all but emergency hospital benefits (prior to deportation) to illegals, and require proof of legal presence of all students before enrolling in schools (along with the vaccination records) we will get most of the way there. We also need to enforce our laws against work places and enforcement as the INS tried to do years ago before running into a Congressional buzz saw on behalf of corporate supporters.
Also we DO need to build the fence, where appropriate. People don't want it because it not only works, it remains when political attention is focussed elsewhere. Drug smugglers and coyotes are peeing on the sensors in the 'virtual fence' areas, and shorting them out. Much money for no benefit.
Also the visa exit tracking system that is already overdue NEEDS TO BE IN PLACE. Homeland Security has indicated that it isn't a priority because these people have at least had some level of screening, which is all big business wants. They WANT the cheap labor to undercut US wages. Homeland Security has just asked for another extension of the deadline to put the system in place.

The only thing the average American can do is vote for the politician who realizes there is a problem and will make every effort to solve it
All that needs to be done is: Enforce the immigration laws we already have. Fine the businesses that hire them , big fines or even hand out jail time if necessary to get the point across that hiring illegals will no longer be tolerated. If no jobs are available, then the illegals will not want to come here.

Cut off the money. Require all workers to be checked for legal status. No legal status, no work. Any traitor hiring an illegal worker would be subject to a stiff fine and jail time. Watch the line heading south at the border. It would expose terrorists living and working here under cover too. If only congress wasn't bought and paid for by big business we would have this in place a long time ago. The system has loopholes to allow illegal hiring. If you look at a green card and it looks legit you won't be charged with illegal hiring. Make them do a real check.

The majority of people who go out and vote will have to get fed up with current politics, then vote for a candidate who breaks from the mainstream and advocates Americas' best interest. That means no more bowing to political correctness and accepting bribes from lobbyists. It's easier said than done though. It costs so much money to run a campaign, a candidate has to be either independently wealthy or beholden to corporate donations. Either one increases the distance between the candidate and us average voters. Publicly funded elections is the only way it is likely to work. That puts every candidate on equal ground financially. You could run, just as easily as Ted Kennedy, and that's a good thing.
So my vote goes to Tom Tancredo, Colorado Congressman, for President in 2008. He is the only politician who has the will to stand up for what the majority of Americans want, and that is to enforce immigration laws and tighten up the border.

It easy, it is not building walls or fences, it about changing the law that make sense. One that makes it so no one will want to come here illegal.
It time for a constitutional amendment that states:
Any one illegal in the U.S. is a criminal for coming in illegal, there for they are not entitled to any trial, attorneys, free items (welfare, hospitals, SS. ), nor may they gain citizenship at no time even by birth.
This is simple yet it works,
Also we need to add to it that any employer of an illegal will pay all fees for hospitals, taxes, SS., schools, etc not collected, and that they will also be fined by the day worked harshly, and would also include jail time , and CEOs and presidents of companies will go to jail also.
No Jobs, why would they want to come?

Close borders and guard borders and coasts with Military and Militia
Relocate all non-citizens to bases protected by Military for their own protection
Interrogate all non-citizens prior to deportation
Use empty oil tankers to repatriate all non-citizens
Expropriate UN buildings and foreign embassies for displaced WTC office space
Bring the troops home
End all foreign aid
Once the Cities and the Borders are secure - go after the foreign enemies of Americans

Nothing bro !!
Where theres a rich country making border with a poor country there will always be immigration, either legal or illegal.
Its a matter of survival, even animals immigrate from one spot to other to survive.
Someone having a shitty life wont stop there and do nothing knowing they can do better some where else

Will never be solved as long as Democrats are in office, they need their votes. Don't be fooled, why else would they be pro-illegal immigration? They need this underclass so they can maintain their social "hand-out" programs.
Otherwise, what would be the advantage to them being here? They are just using up our tax money, and sending their wages back home, taking money out of our government and economy.
