My ex and I were together for a year and recently broke up. We've broken up twice before for the same reason, he says he needs time to get his life together and he's going through a lot. I tried to be understanding the other breakups but this time I had enough and told him off. I've removed all ties with him and we haven' t talked in three weeks. Anyways, I'm moving into a new apartment and as I was packing I came across a lot of his things. In my attempts to be nice, I texted him and asked him if he wanted any of his belongings. He immediately started telling me how much he missed me and thought about me everyday. I tried to keep the convo short and sweet, but he kept asking me questions to keep the convo going. My question is...does he really miss me and if so why did he wait for me to contact him before he told me?

He says he is going through a lot, but what about you and your feelings? Relationships are not built on convenience; it isn't a 24-hour gas station with a great store that is down the street. It may be worth packing the belongings up and dropping them off at a time when you know the chances of meeting him are next to zero.

Girl out of sight out of mind is what is going on here! He is into the thought of you1 If the two of you never talk he will be just fine, but if he hears from you or sees you then he wants you. And then he dates you until he has had enough. He will repeat this cycle as long as you let him. I know from my own experience. don't give in to it and if you run across any of his belongings then throw them away. They aren't that important or he would have contacted you!

yes i think he really does miss u, and i also think that he still has feelings for u. He probably waited u to contact first cuz he was afraid that u dont miss him. I think that u should just keep talking but dont start acting all mushy it might giv him the wrong idea.

I have experienced something similar...just ask him. Be straight with him about how you feel, tellin him off again might not be a good idea because then it will just turn into a fight. But be real. Then maybe you will have a better idea of how to m ove forward accordingly with this situation.

maybe he really just wanted you to start talking to him first. He probably does really miss you. But... if he keeps needing time to get his life together and all that jazz, then he really should just move on!

He may really miss you but you shouldn't get back together with him, since you have broken up twice already, my suggestion is find someone else.

He wants to use you. Sounds like he has a convenient storage place for his things as well as a convenient receptacle for his bodily fluids. Don't be a door mat.

Mail his things back to him COD (Cash On Delivery) and move on.
He is not adult enough for a relationship.
