Hawg Wild brand stink bait........it is a sponge bait requiring you to use a sponge hook. Push the hook with the sponge on it down into the jar of bait and use as light as weight as possible. Fish it on the bottom and hang on........this stuff will bring them in from a long way off.

It depends on what kind of catfish you are fishing for. Fish like channel cats like smelly baits like worms and stink bait. Fish like flathead and blue cats like live bait like minnows, shad, and crawdads.

I have used bait as crude as bologna and hot dogs and still caught fish on them. Since catfish are bottom feeders, they feed more on smell or motion (vibrations) than sight.

Anything that stinks. We used to make our own bait out of bread and limburger cheese. Worked great

you can go to bait shops and there is like mixture of fish and bood or chicken in blood in a solid mixture that works well.

cut baits, corn ,bread (put on the hook tightly) slightly smaller than a golf ball.,crawdads, live shad, blue gill or go to a bait shop and ask for their dead baits(suckers, shad, large minnows etc..) usually they give them away.Smelt, shrimp also work.
