Actually you want a Vintage or (the less expensive) Ruby Port not a Tawny. Tawny's are lighter in color (tan to brown) and nutty due to oxidation, closer to a Sherry than the red fruity fortified port you are most likely looking for. Cockburn and Dow are my favorites of the readily available brands from Portugal.
Another brand to look for is Ficklin. It is made from the same grape varieties, but is made in California. It is a bargain and tasty....kind of like a chocolate covered cherry in a bottle.

Look for any tawny port wine in the store, preferrably something with a caramel base.

Other dessert wine: Bonny Doon Framboise - for an explosion of raspberries! https://www.bonnydoonvineyard.com/
Both are wonderful!

Dow's 10 Year Old Port is pretty good, and another one that's pretty popular and quite tasty is Sandemans.
